About the Role:

SpendLab is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team!

As a Financial Analyst at SpendLab Recovery, you will be responsible for thoroughly investigating and analyzing complex financial irregularities, such as double payments, undue payments, unknown balances and incorrectly booked VAT.

You take a leading role in identifying and evaluating financial risks, and you perform in-depth system analyses in our clients' systems at mainly large private and public organizations.

Our experienced finance staff have a collaborative role in developing our advanced algorithms and also testing them. You will thus proactively think about the development of new algorithms to analyze financial data even more thoroughly and detect financial risks more efficiently.

In the role of financial analyst, you may also be involved in coaching and mentoring Junior financial analysts, sharing your knowledge and experience to take the team to the next level.


About the Team:

You will be joining a dynamic and experienced team of Financial Analysts and Auditors dedicated to improving financial processes for our clients. Our team is collaborative, innovative, and focused on delivering top-notch results, supporting each other in professional growth and development.


Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and analyze complex financial irregularities, such as double payments and unjustified payments
  • Identify and assess financial risks in clients' ERP systems
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of financial data from large private and public organizations
  • Contribute to the development and testing of advanced financial algorithms
  • Proactively create new algorithms to enhance data analysis and risk detection
  • Coach and guide Junior Financial Analysts to elevate team performance


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, finance, data, or a related field
  • Several years of experience as an administrative accountant, analyst, or in a similar role
  • Several years of experience with Account Payables process
  • Passion for numbers and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent command of the English language; knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus
  • Proven experience with financial software, such as SAP, Excel, or Oracle

About the selection process:

Our selection process is designed to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of each candidate. It starts with an application review, where our team evaluates your qualifications and provides feedback within two weeks. The next step is a 1 hour and 45-minute session, which includes a 45-minute interview with a recruiter, focusing on your experience, cultural fit, and competencies, followed by a 1-hour assessment test. Finally, you'll have a 45-minute interview with our Hiring Manager, who will discuss your previous experience, analyze your assessment results, and ask behavioral questions.
