IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. The candidate will assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our computer systems and devices. This role is ideal for someone with relevant experience in IT support, eager to drive improvements in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

What we expect from you:
This role will be a 50-50 split between handling Helpdesk duties and working on System Engineering initiatives, ensuring a balanced mix of reactive IT support and proactive system improvements.

• System Installation and Configuration:
• Set up and configure computer systems, network devices, and operating systems.
• Ensure systems and devices are optimized for performance, security, and virtual conferencing.

• Technical Support:
  • Provide first-level support for hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshoot problems with laptops, printers and other peripherals.
• Assist with IT asset inventory management and provide effective computers and equipment to employees.

• Proactive System Engineering:
• Contribute to IT infrastructure improvements and network security projects.
• Develop and implement best practices for system management and optimization.

• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain system records and generate performance reports.
• Document procedures and create user guides.
• Collaboration and Continuous Learning:
• Work with IT Consultant and Quality & Security Manager on complex issues.
• Stay updated on technology trends and contribute to IT strategy discussions.

What does your profile look like?

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 1.5 years of experience in IT support.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows), and network fundamentals.
• Basic knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure. This is a must!
• Familiarity with common software applications and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required. Dutch is a big plus.
