Junior System & Device Support Engineer

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior System & Devices Engineer to join our IT team. The candidate will assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our computer systems and devices. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with up to two years of experience in IT support, eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

What we expect from you:

  1. System Installation and Configuration:
    • Assist in the setup and configuration of computer systems, and network devices.
    • Install and update operating systems and software applications.
    • Ensure all systems and devices are properly configured and optimized for performance and security.
  2. Technical Support:
    • Provide first-level support for hardware and software issues.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
    • Assist in maintaining an inventory of IT assets.
  3. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and support requests.
    • Generate reports on system performance and issue resolution.
    • Document procedures and create user guides as needed.
  4. Collaboration and Continuous Learning:
    • Work closely with our IT Consultant and Quality&Security Manager to address complex issues.
    • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices.

Job requirements

What does your profile look like?

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in IT support.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows) and network fundamentals.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with common software applications and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required. Dutch is a big plus.
